There are many fics I have read where I wanted to leave criticism, but I didn’t because the author wasn’t looking to be a professional writer. They were an engineering student who was just writing for fun. Shit I don’t care if someone leaves criticism on my fics because I post anonymously, and I’m not looking to be a professional either. Unless the writer wants constructive criticism or is looking to make their own original stories, don’t do it. And antis aren’t even leaving any form of criticisms. They bitch and/or break laws over it. Ffs, they pull that bullshit with pros who didn’t do things their way. Remember Neil Gaiman getting shit simply because he said his characters aren’t mlm due to them being agender. But for some reason because the actors were men, antis “criticized” him for leaving a queer relationship up for interpretation.
Agreed! Giving un-asked-for criticism directly to an artist, author, etc, is rude.
And antis aren’t talking about actual criticism, they’re made they don’t have a free ticket to harass people.
