For those familiar with the Batman’s marketing campaign, this is in a similar vein- it’s a new ARG site. You can visit babyeagleismissing.com and see the sort of “behind the scenes” work with the different agencies and how Ashley got kidnapped, which leads into Leon being sent on the mission to Spain- this is information we previously never had. All we knew was that Krauser abducted her when she was coming home from college but it’s much bigger than that now. It also never really made since in the original that Leon was being sent on the rescue mission since protecting the President’s family is the job of the USSS and Leon was in a completely different division- although they did say that there was a leak and Leon was the “only one who could be trusted” but then it would’ve gone to the CIA or FBI or just about anyone else before landing on Leon. But now we’ve learned that the government was scrambling and it was an all hands of deck situation with everyone of every division.
You learn information about the case by completing various puzzles, and the website seems to update every few hours with new information. You look at files, investigate pictures, and talk to other agents to track down the people down. It’s actually pretty entertaining.
It also has some reference to past things; the Raccoon City and Ecliptic Express are top secret files listed on the side. You can open them and it gives a little report/summary on what happened.
