Seeing all this makes me realize that I’ve been self shipping all my life. I just only since joining tumblr had heard it called self shipping.
Right? Back in our high school years (early 2000s) we just talked about having “character crushes” or said “so and so is my husband” etc.
When we came back to fandom a few years ago after sitting out the late 2010s, we were really surprised to see all this specific terminology around it.
