Afterward

Relationship: none

Summary: After Hook loses his hand. (drabble)

Rating: G (hurt no comfort)

Hook cradled the bandaged stump of his arm as he lay despondent beside the great window of his captain’s quarters. He looked vacantly out at the sea.

A dull ache throbbed through the numbness of Smee’s medicinal artistry. It throbbed like the anger that pulsed through his veins, and the fear that sat like a cherry stone at the bottom of his heart.

Hook saw the specter of death in his mind, and fought it.

Across the water, the song of the sirens did not soothe him.

Would Pan even remember he had been the one who took the hand?
