Pan 2015 is the only peter pan movie I’ve seen that isn’t the disney animated (+tinker bell spinoffs, esp pirate fairy, since that includes hook as a character). It was a WILD ride and it may not be a Proper peter pan story but damned if it didn’t make me angry that b and c list movies that are absolutely COMMITTED to their story are going out of fashion. I’d rather have a rioting wild ride with (masterfully made and operated) giant bird puppets and a swordfight that takes place between TWO flying pirate ships in a strange crystal world with fairy aid than one more damned perfectly polished soulless MCU movie. At least even if the writing isn’t GOOD in both, ONE is enjoyable TT
I honestly prefer B and C tier movies these days in favor of Corporate Product Designed to Please Audiences.
Is Pan (2015) a GOOD movie? no, but it’s an interesting movie and you can see all the weird human choices that went into making it.
(that said please please please please PLEASE watch either Peter Pan (2003) or Peter Pan (1954) when you get the chance.)
