Let me assure you that I don’t see Peter Pan as aromantic or a sexual in any human kind of way. Aroace people are kind and warm and lead full rich lives which are in no way diminished by being aromantic or asexual.

Peter Pan is a spirit and a demigod. He is the spirit of youth and boyhood, who exists only for games. He is joy without warmth. Interest without care. Curiosity without consequence.

He is incapable of engaging with people because he is not a person, he is a spirit.

He is the very rejection of growth and of responsibility and of maturity.

He is not aromantic or asexual in the human sense so much as sex and romance are anathema to his very being.

Something popular culture forgets of Peter is that not only does he not “grow up” he doesn’t “grow” at all.

Peter constantly forgets things and people as soon as they’re over or they stop being interesting. He gains no experience, he takes on no new part of himself.

He is always and forever exactly as he is, the spirit of cruel and innocent childhood.
