The first time Peter had gotten drunk, it was not his intention to have fun. It had been a quiet, haphazard attempt to kill himself.
Gwen’s death was still a fresh wound. His constant attempts to save everyone– save the whole world– meant nothing. What was he worth? Nothing.
He was halfway through a second bottle of cheap vodka when Harry had shown up. Harry had taken one look at Peter, and the bottle. Grabbed the bottle right out of his hand, and finished it in one long swallow.
“Like Tinkerbell,” Harry said. “Now tell me you believe in fairies.”
