I’m still waiting for the day that antis realize that their “umm fiction does effect reality actually” posts are pointless, because next to no proshipper thinks like that, but some of them are just so fucking hilarious that I can’t take them seriously.

I absolutely love posts that are like “People will be like ‘fiction doesn’t effect reality’ as if [insert the dumbest example of fiction effecting reality ever] never happened. 🙄”

My all-time favorite:

Why is that like 80% of the time antis bring up “Fiction effects reality and showcasing Bad Thing in media will make people do Bad Thing in real life” that the example they use to prove that fiction effects reality has nothing to do with fiction that lead to or “inspired” a real life crime, and is just something as dumb as middle school kids running like Sonic in the halls?

This reminds me of how the Joker movie didn’t lead to real killings like people were afraid would happen but it did lead to people dancing on stairs.

Like, wow, it’s almost like we have the ability to critically assess which things from movies should be replicated in real life using our own internal sense of morality. Killing a person would have genuinely terrible consequences for that person and the rest of their family, but dancing on stairs is silly and harmless, like how much simpler can we explain this before antis will get it??? I’m not going to fuck a sibling just because Game of Thrones told me to obviously how stupid do you actually think people are??? The only consequence of Naruto running is that some people might think you’re cringe!!! Why is this so difficult to grasp???
