The worst of the implanted memories were the ones about Logan.
You couldn’t make up memories out of whole cloth; even drugs and sets, and psychic projections. The mind needed something to tether them on, or it rejected them.
For Victor’s false memories of Logan, the project had used his long buried memories of his own childhood.
They cast Wolverine in the role of young Victor, and Sabretooth in the role of his own abusive father.
It was the evilest thing they could possibly have done.
Sabretooth didn’t hurt children.
He remembered beating little Logan so hard he lost teeth.
