I saw the ask about how all antis hate Haiji (danganronpa) but most of them love junko, and you know what, I find it extremely hilarious. Because being super proship, I too fucking hate Haiji and like Junko. And I had to stop and think “okay… what is it that makes one detestable and the other enjoyable.” Is it cause Junko is hot? No, can’t be it for me at least, I have a thing for disheveled hobo anime men. If it was his shitty actions then I should hate Junko too… so it has to be something in the personality. And it hit me. Junko knows what she does is fucked up, and does it anyways because it’s fun to her. Haiji? Not for a second does he stop to think “maybe I’m in the wrong here and did something to mess up and should make amends.” Instead at every given moment he thinks and acts like he can do no wrong, is the pinnacle of justice and righteousness, and is the protagonist of the story, all while being a huge piece of shit who tries to get his way through big talk and hate. And so I realized… Haiji is big antiship-energy.
