Actually, you can put individual summaries for each story in your multifandom oneshot book collection on AO3. There’s an option for chapter summaries! But no one uses them, so naturally, no one knows about that little feature. In fact, the few times I’ve seen it used is when I’m binging fic and the author uses it as a “PREVIOUSLY ON… [FIC NAME].” as a recap. All the same, fuck those multifandom oneshot “books” Fuck them in the ass.
Yeah, to say we are not fans of the multifandom oneshots in one big work is an understatement.
And that’s true, you can put summaries for individual chapters of a work, but those summaries don’t appear in the search results, so it doesn’t entice anyone to read your fic.
