I saw you reblog a post about wishing there was more masc!reader fanfic out there. And I just gotta say, yeah, I agree. But I’d also like to let you know that there is more masc!reader fics being made. Slowly, but surely. However also, some of the writers of those fics, have a tendency to be assholes. One I came across put a dni towards fem/fem aligned readers on their stories. The issue with that was they had that “I decide who is or isn’t fem and straight” attitude. Feeling as though they had the right to make someone come out if their blogs didn’t list if they masc and/or queer. Like dude, if someone is reading your fic despite not having their gender or sexuality listed in their blog, chances are they’re either in the closet and/or an egg.
Yeah I’ve seen that too. It’s extremely upsetting and gender essentialist. Bad vibes all around.
