It’s crazy to me how young folk (god I sound ancient) treat fandom now — leaving a popular fandom just to hop to the next one? I’m in various fandom ‘cause I ENJOY it, not because it’s popular.
I guess the charitable answer is that they value a certain level of activity and interaction in a fandom over how much that fandom means to them personally.
But at the same time we are talking about fancops who mostly have negative interactions in fandom.
