“I can reclaim the r slur I’m retarded” That’s? Not how this works? I’m trans, and I can reclaim slurs like faggot and tranny. These are words I can use for myself, that I can identify with. I do not have the right to use those words on people who have not said “I’m okay with being called this word”. I can’t use it as an insult. I can’t hurt anyone with it. They’re free to call themselves retarded, but they seem to think “reclamation” means “I can use this word for other people”.
Yeah. “Reclaiming a slut means I’m allowed to use it as a slur on other people” is a bonkers argument I had not heard before.
