Alright, so, this is all my (😼🔪) personal opinion, and there are definitely going to be people out there with different opinions.

First off, if you’re looking for info about reality shifting outside of TikTok you will want to use the search terms “astral travel” or “astral projection”. It’s basically the same thing just called something different. You will notice they use many of the same techniques.

As for whether reality shifting (aka astral travel) is any different than lucid dreaming, that is entirely up to your own personal belief system.

People with spiritual beliefs generally believe that when you astral travel (reality shift) you are going to a quantifiably real and meaningful separate place that exists outside yourself and affects more beings than yourself.

People who do not have spiritual beliefs often believe that lucid dreaming, astral travel and reality shifting are all the same thing, and believe that they are an experience that happens only in your own mind and doesn’t affect anyone outside of yourself.

Whether or not doing harm to someone while you are reality shifted is meaningful harm to a real person depends entirely on what you believe.

If you believe that you really go to another reality and the people you meet are real, then obviously hurting a person there is just as immoral as hurting a person in this reality.

If you believe that reality shifting is only a dream and happens only in your mind then hurting a person in your mind is no more immoral than hurting an npc in a video game, or writing a story about hurting someone.
