We absolutely hate DNIs and disclosing trauma and all of that, but given the recent issues with anonymous hate comments and other posts attempting to draw us into drama and wank I think this is important to say.

Due to the specifics of our history as abuse survivors there are a number of topics that we are not capable of discussing with rational detachment–

–or with a perspective, or in a way that prioritizes the experiences and needs of other people over our own experiences and needs.

This is a non-exhaustive list of topics we would prefer not to talk about, because they are sensitive topics that we cannot always talk about with full compassion toward people with contrary experiences

  • medical diagnoses 
  • psychiatric diagnoses
  • the modern medical industry
  • whether or not to trust doctors
  • whether or not to trust medicine
  • whether or not psychiatric disorders require diagnosis
  • this includes but is not limited to all topics related to syscourse
  • important note due to list contents: we are not anti-vaccination we are pro-vaccination.
