If you are going to post sexually explicit fiction and headcanons, current Tumblr rules state that they should be marked with the ‘mature’ setting on the post.
Putting sexually explicit material behind a readmore cut is also acceptable practice.
Likewise, you can tag your sexually explicit work with #nsft so that people can filter it out.
It’s generally considered rude (and against current tumblr TOS!) to post sexually explicit content that isn’t tagged, marked with the maturity setting, or behind a cut.
That includes content in the “#proship” tag.
Friends, if you see untagged sexually explicit content that isn’t under a cut or marked with a maturity label, best practice is to hit the three dots on the post and tell tumblr that this post is “missing a community label.”
