(in reference to this post) they dont, its a joke, “not now sweetie mommy/daddy is [insert thing]” is a common to semi common joke that ppl use to describe what theyre doing online, so me saying “not now sweetie, daddy’s checking books that hes gonna forget to read” would be me joking about me checking out books that i have a tendency to check out books but forget to read them
Hi friend. I think you misread the tone of my comment in that post, which I would describe as ‘sardonic’ or possibly ‘acerbic’.
I appreciate the sincere attempt to explain the meme to me however.
