No need to respond to this, just getting some thoughts out. I’m a proshipper, selfshipper, and comshipper – one of my comships happens to be one of my selfships. While I know fiction doesn’t affect reality – and I don’t label myself as certain real-world terms that antis may call me whatsoever – I find myself experiencing a sort of “comfort” when imagining characters that my F/O knows calling me those terms. I guess it makes the F/O relationship feel more “legitimate”, in a sense, but also with a lot less risk – since One: it’s characters calling me that rather than antis, and Two: those characters would be viewing it from a real-world perspective in some senses. I guess I’m just worried where that kind of… I suppose… fictional-acceptance of terms may fall in terms of proship things. I’m worried I may be pushing it too far, but it’s nice to imagine the relationship being seen by the people my F/O knows. – TetrapodAnon
