One thing I don’t understand (genuinely) about antis:
1.) They perceive fictional characters as having the same… rights/feelings/soul? (hard to make this point, I hope you understand) as real people.
2.) If real people act in a way they don’t approve of, they will strip away all rights and compassion for that person. Telling them to off themselves is morally okay, since they perceive harm was done.
You would think that combining these two stances would create…
3.) Fictional characters have rights and feelings, unless they act in a way I don’t approve of. In that case, it is morally okay to do whatever.
So why am I bullied for shipping two villains? Why can real people’s rights be stripped away, but fictional character’s rights can’t. It makes no sense.
Because it’s not about the actual rights of fictional characters.
It’s about their right to control how other people interact with fictional character.
Fancops only care about their own rights.
