before i realized i was a proshipper, i was talking to my mom about the fact that a lot of people on tumblr (keep in mind i had curated my feed with this by this point) believed that certain types of fiction was bad, and that you shouldn’t write certain stuff. i also mentioned that these types of people harass others for writing certain types of fiction.
i said “y’know what i do when I see a fanfiction I don’t like? i walk the fuck away. i scroll down, change the tags I’m looking for, and I don’t harass the author for writing that.”
and she was like “honey i think your tumblr friends are massive hypocrites”
and guess what?
she was right.
the friends i kept at the time were hypocrites.
