miss-course:

this whole post is a dumpster fire ofc, but i feel a burning need to nitpick how ignorant and outright laughable the “what if wally is ace” thing is.
the wording gets me immediately. it reads as a *i hit you with my critical attack, no dodge* “gotcha!” which i find rlly funny on its own. the way op thinks that the headcanoned sexuality of a fictional puppet man is the be-all and end-all to whether or not you can make porn of him; it single-handedly made me realise that antis seriously value the thoughts and feelings of a fictional character on the same level as, if not above, real people’s.

then uh, the powerful, ignorant aphobia that seeps from that one sentence. not news to many people, but asexuality is a spectrum. i’m nitpicking ofc – i assume op knows that ace is a spectrum, they were just referring to an absolute state for effect – so i’m putting the sentence under more scrutiny that it needs, but i feel like i need to exhaust the point:

ace people can enjoy sex. like i said, asexuality is a spectrum and it is not an “absolute”. so to suggest that the prospect of the character in question being ace automatically makes them impervious to being “lewded” by fanwork creators, is a totally ignorant thing to imply. the whole post reeks of op trying their hardest to come up with reasons as to why adults shouldn’t be allowed to make porn of fictional characters, but that line sure does get me!
