I’d like to talk about the first DHMIS through the lens of being a critique of antiship The notebook pushes a very specific view of creativity and what is acceptable within the realms of it. Though the rules that are made up “green is not a creative colour” despite the notebook itself using green in many of its works. When the characters in the first video reject the rules the notebook is trying to push, and make art related to harsh things and death and strangeness, the notebook says to never do that again, and then shuts itself away.
