Sorry, follow up question. So when I write about awful things I believe I deserve into fanfic, that’s not a sexual thing? I’m sorry if these are too personal or too much, but I’ve been thinking about this a lot and wanna understand what I’m getting out of this. I enjoy writing out this stuff, but I wasn’t sure if it had a connection with sexual gratification or not sense a lot of things overlap with it.
That’s still guilt issues and depression, friend.
it’s totally okay and normal to work out your emotional issues, whatever they are, through fiction and writing.
That doesn’t make it masochism. It’s not masochism unless you’re (forgive the expression) ‘getting off on it’.
We can get all kinds of emotional gratification out of putting our issues into fiction, not just sexual things.
Does that make sense?
