I have an issue with the whole “bodies age” thing. Ignoring that they flat out said it’s fine to be attracted to children that look old. I looked very young until my mid thirties when age finally started to hit me. I could have easily passed for 15. It was a point of irritation. Was I not capable of giving consent, or deserving to be desired, because I looked young? Point being, their point is dumb. Entirely irrelevant because it’s fiction, but even taking the time to play devil’s advocate and try to entertain the logic quickly proves there is no real sense to it. Maybe I’m not making a point here either. I just think the whole thing is so closed minded and ridiculous. No one is getting hurt by interacting with fiction. There are no victims. But people are getting hurt by harassment, and being taught that fiction equates to reality. There, there are real victims.
The “body age” argument that this person is making is scary.
You, and other people with petite, soft, or unlined bodies that some might consider “childlike” do not deserve to have your bodies stigmatized or be considered creepy for having sex.
Meanwhile, our body was extremely mature as a child, to the point that we were regularly mistaken for being 18 or 19 when we were 12 years old.
And it was not okay for us to be sexualized and preyed on when we were 12 just because our body looked “mature”.
The ideas that this post we’re discussing argue for are actively predatory toward children with more developed bodies, and are stigmatizing and marginalizing toward actual adults who are capable of consent.
