I wonder how many millions of people only heard of social masking theory, and thus also how it applies to the internet, because they or the person they heard it from or the person that person heard it from played Persona.
And think about the insane causality here. At least one person has gone into psychology and become a therapist because of Persona, just by numbers and age. Chances are, at least some people are alive because of their intervention. Persona is a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei, itself a spin-off of Megami Tensei, itself an adaptation of Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei by Aya Nishitani and Hiroyuki Kitazume. Two people in Japan wrote a book in 1986 that has 100% definitely had the outcome of preventing at least a couple suicides in America in the 21st century. Causality is fucking weird.
