Honestly I don’t bother with sites that require you to get an invite or be approved or whatever, they annoy me and that’s my main barrier from using things like characterhub. I actually use a free app on my phone called fortelling and it works just fine for me.
I understand your frustration, and you’re right to do whatever makes you happy.
Most of the sites that require you to get an invite or approval do so to cut down on spam users and bots, as well as to limit the number of users to maintain server stability.
