Would’ve posted this on my main blog / self shipping blog but knew it would get better feedback here.
To put it simply, i’ve been unhappy with My Hero Academia as of late. It didn’t turn out like I had expected at all. Now I know current events probably could be explained some way and that this might’ve been where the manga / anime was headed the whole time but if that’s the case it wasn’t at all easy to figure out. I’m upset because not only is it very misleading, I feel like there are lots of inconsistencies. One big one being that this was supposed to be the story of how Izuku became the greatest hero but instead it’s the story of how everyone became the greatest heroes.
I don’t understand how this can be the trajectory for 5 seasons but then shift in the 6th one? Also, why are we now all of a sudden discovering Izuku might not actually be quirkless? I know this theory has been circulating for awhile. I just never expected it to have any credibility. How is this supposed to make any sense?
It gives you more questions than answers.
1. What was the point of Izuku getting One For All if he already had a quirk?
2. What was the point of him and Katsuki having a falling out with each other if Izuku actually did have a quirk and it could’ve been avoided?
3. How is this supposed to help prove the point everyone can be a hero if Izuku has not only One For All but a quirk of his own we didn’t even know he had?
Maybe i’ve got it all wrong and i’m not paying close enough attention. I just want to see if there’s anyone that feels the way I do. Am I crazy for feeling this way or is it valid?
