Here’s how I use choose not to warn. I tag all the warnings as all of my stories are very intense, gruesome, and problematique as hell. I use choose not to warn as in “hey homie I know that I tagged everything but my triggering content is far beyond the scope of the warnings”
Yes, I have often seen (and used) “choose not to warn” as a stand in for “there are many fucked up things in this fic and I don’t know how or if they should be tagged, so watch out.”
