unless the anime features children in sexual situations, it’s perfectly legal to bring into canada. i highly doubt you’re at risk for using tumblr and discord too, unless you follow a bunch of cp blogs or are in cp servers. they’re also not just gonna randomly search your computer unless they have a reason to, lmao. please stop fear mongering :/
By “cp” you mean loli hentai, fiction about child characters, I assume?
Plenty of people do follow loli hentai blogs and servers, because it’s perfectly legal to do so in the USA.
A person who regularly frequents 4chan, or who downloads pervy anime series might genuinely feel unsafe transporting their computer across the border to where those things are illegal.
It’s not fearmongering to spread awareness when the legality of something common differs across two sides of a frequently crossed border.
** please do refer to fictional material as “cp” in order to provoke automatic disgust.
** please do not refer to CSEM as “cp” because doing so is dismissive and harmful to csa survivors.
