I hate antishippers logic because for years I was convinced that I was fetishizing m/m thanks to my f/o & portraying myself as a guy I couldn’t consume any content for a few months without guilt, didn’t help I saw fics with “AFAB DNI, males only” Which kinda fucked with me. The anti community personally feels like it allows transphobes to thrive because of the “If you aren’t like us then you should change or be harassed and die” vibe it gives off. The amount of censorship on who could read what definitely is a danger to people trying to discover themselves. I realised 9 years ago I was a transguy, but I denied it as I got older since according to people online I ‘wanted to fetishize irl guys’ and I didn’t want to make people uncomfortable. Now I’m Slowly starting to accept myself, the proship community has been a big help. Like those posts saying “your f/o loves you” is extremely comforting & “you can write whatever you want in fiction” So big thank you to this blog because without ya’s I would have never found the Tumblr proship community and find a place that I feel comfortable existing in.
“AFAB DNI, males only” is extremely and blatantly transphobic, I’m so sorry anon!
I’m so glad that you were able to find the proship community and start accepting yourself! Thank you so much for sending this message <3
