I hope I don’t sound like an asshole, but why do they always bring up the Slenderman incident? One incident since the creation of Slenderman…and they use it as an example. Like, “this terrible thing happened, so everyone else will also…do this thing that happened…” and even since then, no one has hurt another person in the name of Slenderman. (At least from what we currently know, but one incident has condemned….fictional violence. Ffs.)
It’s because they think the slenderman incident means their argument that fiction affects reality is true– and don’t think about the fact that that would mean we should ban horror, not just sex.
