Fans’ obligation to a creator/creative team:
- Not to show them fanart/fanfic they don’t want to be shown.
- Not to get them involved in fandom discourse.
- Not to pry into their private life.
- Not to stalk them.
- Not to assume shit about the private life of the creator.
Creator’s obligation to their fans:
- Not to make promises they can’t deliver on. (ie, promise a romance plotline that doesn’t get delivered.)
- Not to stoke or take sides in discourse.
- Not to knowingly take stances that would cause fandom harassment.
- Not to make unreasonable “boundaries” or demands from the fandom.
- Not to publically shit on fans that help pay your bills. (Looking at you Ms. Rice.)
- Not let other members of the creative team do any of the following.
Thats it. Anything more is extra.
