Something is only “censorship” when someone (a government, a library, a media platform, etc) refuses to allow people access to the piece of media in question.
👉 A person, or a collection of people choosing to avoid a piece of media is not censorship.
👉 A person or collection of people speaking out about why a piece of media is shitty is not censorship.
👉 Censorship is when a body that is supposed to provide access to a piece of media refuses to provide access to that media.
👉 Attempted censorship is when a group tries to convince people that no one should have access to a piece of media.
