Hi! Hope you don’t mind me sending you an ask, I’ve seen some of your writing positivity posts on my FYP and they’re really good. I’m currently seeing a lot of really long posts about this “event” that’s happening right now, and I was wondering if you could give a quick summary or basically a “TL;DR” about what the hell is going on???
For context, I’ve been away from Tumblr for around half a year now, and I just came back literally a few days ago. I’m openly proship on my main blog, as well as my active sideblogs. I came back to see that half of the users in my main’s following (who are mostly proshippers) have disappeared as a result of termination, and I’m also seeing a lot of people in the proship community panicking and saying that they’re leaving Tumblr.
This is both really confusing and scary to come back to, is there some sort of Tumblr boycott taking place???

The TL;DR is that tumblr is demonstrably banning accounts that discuss or suggest sexual activity between people or characters who are described or appear to be under the age of 18.
This is a problem because they are not just banning writers and fanartists, they are banning sexual abuse victims talking about their experiences.
They are not just banning sexual content, they are banning *suggestive* content.
They are not just banning characters under the age of 18; they are banning art where the characters are too cute/chibi proportioned. blackheartxbiohazards
