So NaNoWriMo (the org) is currently a shit show, actually…

I had been giving them a huge benefit of the doubt until yesterday, but it turns out that behind the scenes everything’s actually fucked. I regret comparing their situation to AO3’s, because the difference in transparency and frankly effort between the two is huge. I had no idea that NaNo was so completely messed up.

Whoa, I looked on wordpress and I didn’t see more information, I might have misunderstood what that link was about. It’s a bummer that the situation is worse over there though, in terms of effort and transparency.

I’m finding out that there might be things about grooming going on? But when looking at a glance through a few different articles, I am not seeing much that is recent when looking up “NaNoWriMo scandal” or “controversy”. I found something on know your meme but I don’t…entirely trust that as a source? It does have some indications it might be a truly fucked thing though, if it is accurate in this case as a source.
