“the fantasy genre turns ppl into royalists bc it makes them argue abt who should be king or queen!!!! but no one should be king or queen bc monarchy bad!!!!!!!!” idk abt u but i take for granted when talking abt works of fiction that we are all under the assumption that it is not real. playing dnd doesn’t mean i’m going to go kill someone in real life with a broadsword. enjoying fucked up and toxic romance in fiction doesn’t mean i seek that out for myself.
fiction is not real. engaging with the plot within the rules of the fictional world is normal. i cannot believe i have to say this.
