Also, where do you draw the line on “disgust”? I’ve had people literally tell me in the comments that my Jewishness disgusts them and I shouldn’t write anything critical of Christianity from a Jewish perspective. And this isn’t even a slippery-slope argument, either. There have been numerous occasions in history when Jewish religious texts were found to be “obscene” and censored or even burned en masse.
Honestly the fact that so many queer people keep missing the point would be hysterical if it wasn’t disappointed. Queer media has been censored due to things like “obscenity” and “disgust.”
My dad can’t look at two men kissing, he says it disgusts him; and even him admits that is his issues and wouldn’t suggest those things needs to be censored.
This is even more aggravating considering we live on a time where so many books has been banned; look what they did in Florida for fucks sake.
Whatever perfect metric you think you have about what should or not be banned, let me tell you, someone else would have a problem; you can’t get that metric.
