If you can enjoy a character who is insane, violent, murderous, manipulative, and genocidal, but freak out at the idea that the same character might be sexually interested in adult but younger women, maybe you should

a) reconsider why your moral framework works that way

b) find a new character to like.

Perhaps the line is drawn at real life issues that you actually see in your daily average life, cause nobody wants to bang hitler, we understand the villains have a purpose and love them despite their actions for a story but hate characters that are annoying, so why is that? and nobody likes the issue of grown ass men grooming younger women happening fucking everywhere, is the illusion of “power” perhaps, what brings us to feel attraction towards villains, to feel like a priority and cause a pure emotion on a wretched being, irl that shit is impossible no matter which direction you try to see it, grooming happens to young women all the time and the center of it its the grooming not the love, cause that would be romanticizing. When you fantasize about villains the center isnt that they’re mutilating people and you’re just there watching, is that you can be loved despite someone’s darkness or being cherised even by the worst person ever. Is like the “is ok to kill people but its never ok to disrespect your wife btw”

In grooming fantasizes the specification and distinction, the center of it, its the grooming itself taking place, and thats a victim not a partner nor a lover nor a crush.

I’m sorry that it’s so easy for you to trivialize and compartmentalize the overwhelming amount of violence that people experience in their average lives.

I’m sorry that you’re more horrified by consensual sex than by war crimes or casual assault.
