Folks, you do not need an author’s permission to write fanfiction. You don’t need the author to validate your fic or headcanons. Stop trying to drag authors into fandom drama. It’s ridiculous and immature.
The point of fandom isn’t to be the most “correct.” The point is to connect and build a community, and have fun.
