What do you consider “canon” to a piece of fiction?
only the material directly presented to the audience as part of the story.
story + secondary sources involved with the writing (interviews, artbooks etc)
all above + non-writer sources on the project (VA interviews, concept art…)
all above + materials created by other companies/writers (toy boxes, spinoffs..)
Please share, I’d like to see as many people’s opinions as possible!
Only direct materials, but I will sometimes accept secondary sources if I find them interesting and supported by direct material.
Only direct material as presented in a story.
I am not browsing your fucking twitter feed for hot takes about your own story that you decided to come up with that day in the shower and did not include in the novels you wrote.
