Could I ask why you don’t like pregnancy? Or is that too personal? /genqIf it’s too personal, I totally understand! I just want to understand that sort of phobia better.
Hey friend, thanks for the question. I’m happy to talk about it, but you may not like the answer!
I am putting it under a cut, because my discussion here may be extremely triggering. Medical horror, body horror, pregnancy, injury, illness etc.
There is a creature, growing inside your body. It cannot survive without your flesh to nourish it. As it grows strong, you grow ill and sickly. Your flesh bulges and swells as it matures inside you. Even once it bursts free of your flesh, this thing, this creature will still be entirely dependent on you, and your body, the milk of your flesh, to survive.
All your life you have been raised to accept that your purpose in life is to share your flesh with this creature. To let it use and inhabit your body. To let it twist your form. That is what you were made for. That is what was expected of you. To become the vessel for a parasite that demands your body for it’s own. If you deny your purpose in this, you will be mocked and shamed.
No one tells you about all the ways the parasite can harm you. No one tells you about the blood, the ripping flesh as it emerges whole from your body. No one talks about the consequences on your body even after it leaves. How your flesh will never be the same again. How it you may never be the same again.
And even once the creature is free of your body, you will never be free of your obligation to nourish it. It is your duty. It is your purpose.
TL;DR, when we were 12 years old we walked into the bathroom and accidentally saw our mother shoving her prolapsed vagina back into her body.
And also quite a few of us in the system are men in a body that’s expected to bear children.
