See, we don’t have an argument for this, because we tend to write very sexually open characters.
“Topping” and “bottoming” are just sex positions, anyway, like missionary or doggy style– they’re not synonymous with domming or subbing, and neither are they indicative of personality traits.
Just because someone’s more naturally dominant doesn’t mean they’ll inevitably top, and just because someone’s more naturally submissive doesn’t mean they’ll always bottom.
I’ll take this moment to call out my own personal fave though, and say that Chris Redfield– a natural sub– makes an absolutely fantastic service top. 😉
