Okay, SO.
Alexia Ashford went into stasis in 1983.
The first date available for William Birkin having written his “observation note” which includes the phrase
I can’t wait to see the look on Alexia’s annoying face when I finally announce my research.
Is 1988 when the G-Virus was isolated.
Birkin’s note suggests (but I admit doesn’t state outright) that he has been working with Alexia recently, and expects to be able to ‘see her face’ in the future.
–super odd since Alexia had been declared dead.
UNLESS you subscribe to my headcanon (which I feel this is good evidence for) that Alfred had begun to act as Alexia in Umbrella research after his sister’s stasis.
Birkin even calls her annoying, and we all know Alfred is the more annoying twin 😉
