Doesn’t sex count as acceptance of a marriage proposal, for Klingons? I can’t remember my lore.
Either way I need an AU that pivots off this situation where that is in fact the case and the rest of TNG takes place with Riker married to this Klingon lady.
Bonus points if he slowly changes his appearance to be more attractive from a Klingon perspective. Can’t do much about the forehead, but long hair and a certain type of beard style would be interesting.
Double dates between Will and his Klingon wife and Deanna and Worf eventually evolve into a polycule. Alexander now has two Klingon parents, one human, and one Human-Betazoid hybrid, and grows up to be… differently unbalanced.
