Karl Heisenberg wakes up in a laboratory surrounded by unfamiliar scientists. But at least one of them is friendly.
“Morning yourself,” he croaked out. Perhaps hearing the rasp of his own voice, he coughed again, and tried to clear his throat. “Where the hell am I? I was supposed to be…”
“Dead?” the man said, leaning on his hand as he watched him through sunglasses he seemed intent on wearing even in the dim lab.
“I’m happy to say we fixed that little issue for you, Mr. Heisenberg.”
“Did you now?” Karl demanded. He twitched, his eyes narrowing further. “Hey– are those my glasses?”
“Nope. Mine.” The man said as he offered his hand. “We’ve just got similar taste, my friend. Take a few deep breaths and I’ll try to fill you in, oui?”
