Whumper who never touches whumpee without their gloves on.
Whumper who drags their gloved fingers down whumpee’s face and grabs their chin.
Whumper who carefully and menacingly puts on their gloves in front of whumpee, who knows what it means and what’s about to happen.
Whumper who fidgets with their gloves, tugging the hems or the fingers, grasping their hands together until the material of the gloves makes its distinctive sound.
Whumpee who learns to hate the texture of leather.
Whumpee who flinches when a doctor slips their gloves on during their checkup.
Whumpee who is starved of physical contact, because Whumper thought they were too dirty to touch with bare hands.
Whumpee who can’t stand their partner’s hands anywhere near their neck. It was Whumper’s favorite place to grab them.
Whumpee who wakes from their nightmares with a jolt, the snap of Whumper’s gloves chasing them out of sleep.
Whumpee who compulsively watches the hands of everyone they speak to. Whumper always rubbed a thumb idly over their palm when they had a new instrument to try.
