Hi! I just wanted to say something: I’m really REALLY enjoying ‘Fly Me to the Moon!’ It’s honestly not only what I was looking for, but better! In the general comedy format of the manga and both animes, the status quo of the characters is maintained to be more gag oriented. Despite that, I’ve always craved more details on Oni and Planet Oniboshi lore out of pure curiousity. Seeing how Oniboshi and Earth culture are both tied to the characters’ growth and relationships in some way is also just so satisfying, especially with Lum’s feelings towards her relationships and the potential future towards them! We and our partner are huge fans of the series and we do love the comedy of the original manga and anime but we have always wanted to see the characters grow beyond their place in Tomobiki and spend more time in the wider universe of the show which is more hinted at than seen. We are so glad to hear that there are other people who are interested in our exploration of all of this!
Lum and Ataru’s relationship is so fascinating, as are the web of relationships between everyone in the series and we really look forward to continuing to explore them in more detail.
