Why do so many hate Toko? I mean I think she’s the best part of the franchise and let’s just be real…I would have forgotten the series if not for her. but here I am over a decade later.
Toko is a mentally ill abuse victim with symptoms and trauma responses that are not palatable to people. She’s mean, aggressive, unhygienic, hypersexual, paranoid, and accusatory. People have trouble facing the fact that trauma and mental illness can make people unpleasant and not just “cutesy sad and pathetic”
It also doesn’t help that she’s a woman and the danganronpa fandom (like most fandom spaces) has a deep rooted misogyny problem
