I just wanted to say that your blog was one of the first ones I followed when I made this blog in my attempts to come back to proship and unlearn the complacent ‘don’t talk about those things’ mindset that suddenly overtook the internet back in like 2016-2017? I get excited whenever I see your posts on my dash because they’re full of validation and they calm a lot of my irrational intrusive thoughts about Being A Bad Person(tm) for liking things in fiction. I just wanted to say thank you all for doing what you do to help spread awareness of the harm that censorship and silence can cause while also showing us ways we can bring love and kindness back into fandom. Your words are such an inspiration. 💜

I also wanted to say that since sending that ask I’ve removed the references to ‘proship’ and ‘anti’ from my blogs’ pinned posts. Because I agree with your message that anti-censorship and fandom positivity is what we should be pushing for, rather than the Us vs Them mentality that those labels cause.
Honestly I think that’s a great move. 🤝 The us vs them, fandom specific language can only detract from our message and understanding one another.
